Sabine Iyi

Sabine Iyi was born in Germany in 1969.
She graduated from the André Gérard Art School in Hamburg, in 1991 and at the same time she worked at the Atilier Najla for one year. She began to work in different departments in the textile branche, for example sales, design and purchasing, in 1992.
In 1995 she moved to Turkey and focused on her paintings, which led to her opening her first art studio in Zekeriyaköy, in 2005.
There she devoted herself to painting and sculpturing and with the help and support of other artists, for example Ibrahim Kaloshi, she highly improved her skills and tecniques in sculpturing.
Furthermore, she started her education in photography in 2006 and completed it one year later.
After shutting down her art studio in Zekeriyaköy, she opened a new one in İstinye, in order to continue to practice her work.

Moreover, she has completed assignments, in the departments painting and decoration, for national and international companies; for example she made the stage decorations for “Ebru İlayda Bale Dance School” ‘s ballet “Swan Lake” in the Iş Kulesi in 2012.
In the same year she participated in the art exhibition “Göç Sanat; Art of Migration”, which took place in the Cezayir Gallery in Istanbul.
