Artist Statement:

I am concerned with creating an evolving perceptual interaction with my paintings.
The juxtaposition of the competing elements creates a vibrational movement along with the illusion of depth. When all of the components work together the painting becomes a transmuted visual interaction with the viewer. The approach I take to painting is to access the subconscious through the creative process. I believe that in the creation of art, one gains understanding of themselves by realizing that part of us which is otherwise inaccessible.
