Sandra Wadkin

My work is inspired by the colours and motion of the natural world of my ancestors.
Using multiple layers of line, pattern and marks both translucent and opaque, my paintings create an abstract landscapes which when presented can be broken down and explored, offering the viewer compositions that are culturally and politically emotive in a subtle way that has been removed from literal context.
