Sanja Vasiljević
Clinical Psychologist | Jungian Candidate | Artist
I was seven when my drawing of Saint Sava was published. I did not know then that I would become a clinical psychologist, train at the Jung Institute in Zürich, or spend fifteen years as an executive. I only knew that I saw the world in images—and that the world rewarded me for showing what I saw.
I have not stopped.
My art is not separate from my psychology. It is its visual language. These photographs and watercolors are field notes from the unconscious—records of thresholds, silences, and the architecture of places that shape who we become.
I have exhibited four times: twice with photographs, twice with paintings. I have lived between Belgrade, Divčibare, America, and most recently China, where I walked the streets of Chengdu and stood before red gates that felt like dreams I had forgotten.
I am not a hobbyist. I am not a therapist who paints on weekends.
I am a psychologist who processes the world through images—and an artist who thinks in systems.
If you are drawn to these pieces, you are likely drawn to what lives beneath the surface. That is where I work. And that is where these images come from.
Welcome to my visual field notes.
