Sanjay Gajjar

Self taught artist working in the following mediums, Oil, Acrylic, Charcoal, pen & ink, Pastels.
Sanjay has been drawing and painting since 1983 and is a self taught artist with no formal training. Initially starting off by drawing and sketching people and in particular portraits, he has developed his art.

His work captures some of the experiences he has had during his travels. His love for nature can be clearly seen in some of the paintings. He tries to bring a positive aspect of life to his work. Over the years he has faced racial discrimination at school, college, work and has tried to ignore it all and just get on with it attitude.

In recent years he has had the opportunity to travel extensively across Asia and Europe. Some of the images he has put down can be seen here at this exhibition.

Over the years he has exhibited and sold some of his works in numerous galleries across the UK.

He also undertakes commissions and is comfortable working with live subjects or from photographs.
