Santhosh B Shivan

My work is inspired by my birthplace India and my individual thoughts. But where are all this thoughts coming from? 
I was 3 years old, when I held a piece of charcoal from our oven with my small fingers. This piece of charcoal got smaller and smaller, when I drew on walls of our house in Kerala. That time, my parents were not that pleased, but supported me years later during my college years at an art school and traditional mural painting academy.

My childhood and my formal art training in Kerala had and still have a big influence on my work. I want to express things I have deep inside, the inner language is reflecting on my work.

The journey of my live has also an impact on my paintings.
At the moment I am working on bigger formats, mainly oil on canvas. I live and work in Germany since 2017.
