Sarabjit Singh

Sarabjit Singh is an award-winning contemporary visual artist based in California’s San Francisco Bay Area. With nearly three decades of artistic practice, her work explores the emotional language of color, human stories, and the layered experiences that shape identity and memory. Her paintings are recognized for their vibrant palettes, expressive surfaces, and the sense of quiet reflection they invite in the viewer.

Working primarily in acrylics on canvas and paper, Singh blends realism, semi-realism, and impressionistic elements while increasingly exploring abstraction. Through textured brushwork, palette knife techniques, and experimental methods such as fluid paint pours, she creates compositions that balance structure with spontaneity. Color plays a central role in her practice; she approaches it much like a musician approaches sound—carefully orchestrated to evoke mood, movement, and emotional resonance.

Singh’s work often begins with research and observation. Inspired by people, history, travel, and personal experiences, her paintings reflect moments of connection, resilience, and introspection.
