Sarah Melvin is an Australian Artist, currently living in the Encinitas area of Southern California. Drawing on both surrealism and expressionism, Sarah’s black and white portraits appear detached from reality. The disconnected and exaggerated facial features that distinguish her art combine to achieve unexpected and mysterious abstracts of the human form and are communicated through ink, acrylics and mixed media on canvas and aquarelle paper.
Sarah holds a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts as well as a Masters Degree from the School of Design, RMIT University.
