Sarnai Bold

Sarnai Bold is a celebrated Mongolian artist and designer, known both locally and internationally for her luxurious paintings and contemporary designs. She graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Ulaanbaatar under the guidance of Honorary Artist Ts. Narangerel, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Decorative Art. Following her studies, she attended the Dressmaker Gakuin and the Bunka Fashion Graduate University in Tokyo, Japan. Afterward, she served as an assistant teacher in Tokyo and later taught fashion design at the Institute of Fine Arts.

In 2019, her artwork "Journey of the Self to the Self" was selected for the "Innovating Tradition: Contemporary Mongolian Art" exhibition organized by the World Bank Group, held in Washington, D.C., USA. In addition to annual exhibitions at the Union of Mongolian Artists, Sarnai's works have been featured in significant events such as the "Impressions" exhibition at the "Modern Mongolia" Business and Culture Event in Dubai, UAE, in 2025, and the Korea and Mongolia International Art Festival. Since 2000, Sarnai has been participating in more than 20 joint exhibitions and competitions held in Mongolia and abroad. In 2019 her work “Journey of the Self to the Self” was selected to the “Innovating Tradition-Contemporary Mongolian Art”, World Bank Group’s Visual Art Exhibition, Washington DC, USA. Besides exhibitions organized annually at the exhibition hall of the Union of Mongolian Artists, Sarnai’s works have been displayed at MN17 Art Gallery, Central Tower Art Gallery, Marshal Art Gallery, Zanabazar Fine Art Museum and National Modern Art Gallery and internationally “Asian Art-40 Years” QCC Art Gallery, New York, USA in 2014, “14 Views of Mount Fuji”, Rodin Museum, Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art, Japan in 2014;
