Saulo Taveira

My name is Saulo Taveira. I live in Nova Friburgo - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I'm an actor and photographer.
I dedicate myself to researching, creating and editing self-portraits, investigating the relationship between light, body and black and white. I develop an aesthetic that emphasizes texture, intensity and drama, contrasts. I admire Herb Ritts, Robert Mapplethorpe, Zanele Muholi, John Coplans and other productions.

I have a degree in History and Photography and I have specialization in these two areas.

I have works published in magazines such as Mascular Magazine, COR LGBTI+, Fruta Bruta, Falo Magazine and collective exhibitions on sites such as F-Stop and Fraction Magazine. I also participated in the 11th Rio Grande PhotoFluxo Festival, Brazil, 2023.
