I was born in Long Beach, CA, in 1951. The art bug bit me big in late high school when I discovered an activity that gave back as much as I gave. I went on to study life drawing with the great John Bowman at American River College in Sacramento. Although I'd spend much of the next 35 years veering into nonobjective painting, it was Bowman's training that brought me back, eventually, to the human form.
Studies with John Bowman at American River College, Sacramento, CA; with Ellyn Zimmerman and Robert Bechtle at San Francisco Stae University: with Dan Rice in Connecticut.
