Sebastian Szczepanowski

Sebastian Szczepanowski is a Polish photographer based in Wrocław. His work moves between documentary observation, street photography and visual poetry, focusing on quiet urban states, fleeting gestures and the fragile relationship between people and space.

Rather than searching only for decisive moments, he is interested in suspended situations: reflections, thresholds, fragments of bodies, temporary encounters and the emotional residue of everyday life. His photographs often use colour, geometry and light as narrative structures, creating images that feel both precise and open-ended.

He is a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers — ZPAF — and the Z Bliska collective. Self-taught photographer. Background in psychotherapy, with a long-term interest in human relationships, perception, memory and the emotional experience of urban space.
Photography developed through independent practice, workshops (Harry Gruyaert, Gustavo Minas, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Maciej Jeziorek), portfolio reviews and participation in international photographic communities.
