Seema Zaidee

Hello! My name is Seema. Z and I was born and raised in Karachi Pakistan. I have been artistically involved since my early childhood, from my very first interest with crayons and colour books back in my babysitter days, to learning how to draw exploring watercolour, oil, charcoal, and acrylic. medium in my teen era. It has been a creative journey all the way and the processes are still evolving.

I migrated to the United States in the Midwest currently residing in Virginia near the Washington DC area.
I hope to inspire and touch people’s hearts, to produce work that held Remembrance of the Creator of the Universe. Although I have gone through conventional art training at the college, and university level, much of what I know of traditional art practices is self-taught.

Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated by the beautiful, complex, geometric patterns of Islamic art and design. I am intrigued and in love with the elegant flowing Arabic calligraphy whether it's Kufic, Nastaliq, Thuluth, Diwani, Naqsh, Diwaani or other recent styles. Motivational inspiring devotional quotes, the poetry of spiritual masters Rumi and Jami and all the others motivate me.
