I am Semiha Karakuş. I paint with light, silence, and the metaphorical language of nature. Rather than describing a specific place, my work explores inner transitions—moments where emotion shifts into awareness.

Light is not an explanatory element in my paintings, but a guide: a threshold between feeling and consciousness. Fog and uncertainty become spaces of transformation, where hope and loss can exist at the same time. Birds, voids, and solitary presences suggest an intuitive reading instead of a fixed narrative.

My technical foundation comes from Aydın Doğan Fine Arts High School and Dokuz Eylül University (Buca Faculty of Education, Painting). What shaped my practice most, however, was building my own visual language. For this reason, my landscapes remain undefined—they represent a state, not a location.
