Semire Akyazi

In my portraits, I capture silent storms, making emotions visible with each brushstroke. Through eyes and gazes, I invite the viewer into my inner world, balancing reality and imagination with soft pastels and oils. Every piece whispers a quiet story.

After retiring from the Chief Pharmacy position at Dokuz Eylul University Hospital in 1998, I graduated from the Ceramics and Glass Department at Dokuz Eylul University Fine Arts Faculty in 2005 with my thesis, "The Use of Ceramic Materials in Art Nouveau Architecture and Antoni Gaudí."
I attended workshops with artists such as Ellen Shankin, Tara Dawley, and Steven Hill in Kansas City, Virginia, and Santa Fe, USA.
I also participated in Pietro Magdalena’s workshops at La Meridiana Studio in Cortona, Italy.
Driven by my interest in painting, I have taken numerous courses and received training from renowned artists.

As a ceramic artist I opened 3 personal exhibitions and joined many mixed exhibitions, got many awards... My only solo exhibition on painting was : G Art Gallery Aug. 25, 2021 - Aug. 31, 2021 Kusadasi Hilton / Turkey I had from online competitions: Art&Color 365 4 Mentions, Almenara Artcollections Mention.
