In 2016 he won a nomination at the 9th International Color Awards.

In 2013 he was presented with the 8th Annual Black and White Spider Awards Nominee in the category of `People` at a prestigious Nomination & Winners PhotoShow.

In July 2006 Saatchi Gallery ( London ) while complimenting him on his high standard of work, invited him to post his pictures on their official website.. Charles Saatchi - `Hello, Very happy to see your work on the gallery site`

International recognition came to him in 1998 when he was invited to participate in Florence Biennale. An internal jury saw Sharan`s work and approved his participation. This exhibition is sponsored by the Italian Government and UNSECO.
