I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t painting.
Originally from a small town in New Hampshire, I spent many years living in New York City. Seeking a slower pace and the opportunity to make painting my primary focus, I relocated to Cali, Colombia, where my wife and I own a small yoga studio and share our home with our cats. This lifestyle provides me with the time, space, and support to continue creating, drawing inspiration from both my imagination and
the world around me.
Some ideas arrive fully formed in my mind; others emerge only after I stretch a canvas and allow the process to unfold. While my work is figurative and often thematic, my primary interests lie in compositional movement and geometric structure. Certain signature elements appear throughout my paintings. Primary- colored circles represent the fundamental building blocks of existence. The female figure serves as a central motif, symbolizing strength, resilience, and the enduring power of humanity. Touches of silver create reflective surfaces that extend beyond the two-dimensional
plane, shifting with changes in light and perspective.
