Shay Maguire is a professional artist born and living in Dublin, Ireland, and has been painting for more than 30 years. Shay paints cityscapes of Dublin and nature scenes from county Mayo in the West of Ireland.
"I am particularly interested in composition, and I look to capture the energy of a scene, be it a dramatic contrasting cityscape, or the wildness of nature in a seascape or landscape. I mainly paint in acrylic and oil.
"Painting has been intertwined through my life, it's a consuming passion. I am continuously thinking of colour, light, painting and composition".
