ABOUT
EXHIBITIONS

Art is a place of refuge for me; and, the urge to create shelters and rescues me at once. It forms a space
where I feel centered, at ease, and myself. An expressionist, I am totally enamored with the possibilities
watercolor and acrylic create and the exciting sense of freedom both stir up inside me. I am a fiction writer
as well and a poet. I express myself in words and colors—freely moving from one to the other—drawing
inspiration from history, legends, mythology, and nature. Mythical characters, from time to time and freely,
appear in my paintings and stories, while water, fire, and trees are constant motifs.

I have exhibited at the Gallery House in Palo Alto, Gallery of Dreams in Campbell, heART of Iran at the Capital (Sacramento), Saratoga Library, and Art with a Heart—to name but a few, and was one of the artists in the Beacon of Light Award and also in the Art Flags by Immigrant Artists Workshop & Exhibition at Montalvo Art Center. I also have been featured—with a painting, two Haikus, and a Tanka—in Art Ventures Art & Poetry collection in support of the #MeToo movement. I have curated an international art event for FACTR, and have organized many readings along with side exhibitions.
