Shirin Oveissi is a London-based artist working in abstract painting. Her practice explores colour as a physical and emotional force, building layered surfaces where gesture, structure, and intuition interact.
Her work develops through an accumulative process, allowing forms to emerge rather than being pre-planned. This creates compositions that shift between control and spontaneity, surface and depth.
Working primarily with acrylics, oils, and pastels, she explores how colour generates movement, tension, and transformation. While non-representational, her paintings are informed by natural systems such as growth, repetition, and change.
Her practice focuses on the relationship between material, process, and perception, creating works that invite slow looking and emotional response.
