The focus of Sigrid's main body of work is on flowers and plants, many being Australian natives. Flowers are used in most cultures to symbolise major milestones in our lives and Sigrid extends this by using flowers as the conduit of her social narrative and observations of things that are important to her,, There is a particular focus on social equity, diversity, the environment and the need to learn more about ancient Aboriginal knowledge to work together and heal our lands and support thriving communities.
Inspiration: Georgia O'Keeffe, Margaret Preston, Margaret Ollie, Ben Quilty and Yayoi Kusama.
