Simona Ricci

Simona Ricci (b. 1985, Florence) is a visual artist whose work embodies the visionary and intuitive nature of her sun sign, Pisces. Based in Tuscany, she works as a visual artist, astrologer, and tarot reader.
She utilizes the language of the arcana and the stars as a tool to investigate the deepest self, while simultaneously using art to give voice to her inner imagination. In her photography, she is dedicated to experimentation through the use of vintage cameras, expired films, toy cameras, and instant photography. She employs collage techniques, recycling predominantly vintage paper materials to create unique compositions. By manipulating images, Simona revitalizes and transforms her subjects into bizarre, often irreverent contexts. Her artistic journey knows no boundaries as she continues to explore new forms of expression.

Simona Ricci nasce nel 1985 a Firenze, sotto il segno dei Pesci, del quale incarna appieno le caratteristiche. Cresce maturando interesse per l’arte in tutte le sue forme e trova la sua maggiore espressione artistica nella composizione di collage e nella fotografia analogica. A primarily self-taught visual artist, she has enriched her practice through studies in vector graphics and by attending the Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia (Experimental Photography Center) in Prato.

Artista visiva prevalentemente autodidatta, ha arricchito il suo percorso con studi in grafica vettoriale e frequentando il Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia di Prato.
