Simone Miani

I was born and raised in Italy, in a very small village near the Slovenian border. Here i spent most of my childhood, playing alone in the fields.There isn't much to do in this little slice of the world, life flows at a slower pace and the huge suburbs chain you in daily routine.
I actively began to paint at the age of 13 and it has always been a way for me to escape from my immense solitude, to understand the world around me and its dynamics. I continued to paint actively and successfully, but unfortunately, despite big fights with my family, I was denied the opportunity to undertake artistic studies.
Thus I began a very long period of artistic experimentation which allowed me to refine my style and to orient myself more and more towards figurative painting and the vast theme of humans.
I'm passionate about the logics that lies at the base of the human behavior and my artistic research explores in a vertical way the very private part of the self. Over the years, through pictures, installations and environmental art, my work has as main themes the inner private, the perception and the plurality of the “Self”.

My work offers a non-judging vision of the subject while interacting with objects of daily life,lonesome, communicatin...
