Siro Art

Siro reflect on various aspects of human body and its biology, as material expressions of ideological, psychological and spiritual aspects of the human been. These reflections and investigations walks through several ways in different media as painting, drawing, minimal sculptures & video.

SIRO was born in Chile 1974 where he obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree on Universidad catlócia de Chile / art PHD courses on Universidad Complutense de Madrid & visual arts studies in Barcelona. Nowadays he lives and work in Spain.

Siro has developed projects in solo exhibitions as: “Epygénesis, epygenetic memories” Galileo Cultural Center Madrid, Spain/ "Le fil d'un fils qui coud son arbre", Spanish College, París, France / “Fenocopias” Gallery Espacio BOP, Madrid / “Flexion (Detritus)” Aranjuez-Madrid / “Trapped” sculpture & sound installation at Rina Bouwen galley, Madrid.
As well he has been awarded in several competitions and festivals: First Prize V Interamerican Bienal of Videoart. Washington D.C., USA / Special award, MADATAC,contemporary video art, Madrid / First prize in Contest of Shorts of Cinema and Animation, Nontzefilmak. Bilbao, Spain / First prize in Young Artists council of Madrid Contest, Madrid, Spain
