Nature is an underlaying element in my work. However, it’s often  merely an initial motivation urging me to get to work. I draw inspiration from the lights, the lines, the shapes, the movement and the colors I encounter in Nature.

The completed paintings capture my initial impression of the subject, they recreate the experience and the overall feeling I get when I first encounter it. They are sometimes left in a slightly crude and raw state, giving a light impression of incompleteness.
