Sebastian Sliwinski: The Geometry of Desire, Tension, and Intuition

The paintings of Sebastian Sliwinski are a profound exploration of human sensitivity, where the strict rules of design meet the raw, unbridled energy of intuition.

Born in 1994 in Siedlce, Poland, he holds a Master of Arts degree in Interior Design from the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. For eight years, he has successfully worked as an interior designer, shaping physical spaces with technical precision. However, to satisfy his deep need for unconstrained expression, he turned to painting—a medium that perfectly bridged the gap between his analytical mind and his highly sensitive nature. Though at the beginning of his public artistic journey, his works have already been showcased at Warsaw’s art fairs, such as Targowisko Sztuki, and have been acquired by several private collectors.

Sliwinski specializes primarily in abstract nudes. He masterfully synthesizes the human body into simple, geometric forms, charging them with a dynamic tension that suggests rather than dictates. Working mainly with acrylics and his own custom mortar blends, he achieves a unique 3D texture, giving his canvases a sculptural, tactile quality.
