Nahid Aamina

I am a contemporary visual artist and art educator based in India, with over eight years of studio practice. My work explores atmosphere, memory, and emotion through layered landscapes and expressive abstraction.

Rather than painting specific places, I’m drawn to the feeling of a landscape — shifting light, distant horizons, quiet stillness, and the emotional spaces that nature can hold. Using loose brushwork, layered color, and intuitive mark-making, I create paintings that balance softness with structure, movement with calm.

My work has been selected for international exhibitions, including juried shows and biennales, and I continue to evolve my practice through experimentation with color, texture, and contemporary abstraction.

Through my paintings, I hope to create spaces that feel calm, reflective, and emotionally open — works that bring a sense of depth, presence, and quiet energy into contemporary interiors.
