Sofie Redman

Sofie Redman is a mixed media artist whose practice is rooted in archaeology of self. That layered, often turbulent territory between who we have been and who we are becoming. It is an honest and intimate conversation where the tool doesn’t matter so much. She works with acrylic, watercolor, photography and anything that can help to explore the emotional burden we carry when our social roles suddenly change.

What happens inside, when you’ve come to realize you want a different career, but it seems impossible to achieve? Or when you immigrate to a country with a completely different culture and you will never fit in but you have to adapt? Or when you suddenly get married and have a whole new person to learn how to live with…
These are situations that most of us face in life in one way or another. Sofie visualizing her inner storms she has been facing on her way towards dream life.
