I am an interdisciplinary artist. The relationship between my varied art style stems from a desire to repond to found objects and transform what already exists into a contemporary dialog. I am focused on the environment and the emotional and physical impact of my work.
I am presently focused on the Balancing Meaning series of painting collages. I recreate traditional cairn piles which are stacked stone markers found on paths and wilderness trails representing symbols of human movement, adaptation, and memory. This series is created from discarded or unfinished paintings with the intention to redefined the importance of abstract communication.
The cairn, historically used to mark paths, graves, or boundaries becomes a metaphor for migration and navigation, representing cultural assemblage and adaptation. The focus on balance represents the continual transition between origins and destinations. The use of discarded materials speaks to resilience, reinvention and the capacity to transform what is discarded into something guiding. Representing cairn stones with paintings merges the act of creation with the act of journeying, implying that our identities are always transforming depending on our environment.

"Self-taught" through association and observing art processes through other artists. From childhood I have expressed myself artistically, and when I began modeling for art classes at Misouri State University I began to focus on drawing and investigating art in further detail.
My University studies were focused on Psychology and Cultural Anthropology.
Through the university art professors I was introduced to and formed part of the Brundege drawing group in Missouri until I later moved to Barcelona. In Spain, I joined the Cercle Artistic de Sant LLuc. In 2023 I moved up the coast from Barcelona where I have procured a studio that allows me to expand and focus on my art practice.
I have been in many exhibitions over the years, yet only now, in 2026, have I decided to engage fully with the art market. I have been working with Carrie Scott who declared me as an artist to be paying attention to.
