Kevin Grummun captures the street art aesthetic with his hand cut stencils of Philadelphia icons and other well-known celebrities. Influenced by artists like Shepard Fairey, Blek le Rat, and Banksy, Kevin first took to the streets in 2012 with his alter ego, “Franksy”. That year he was featured on the Streetsdept blog as a top 10 street art moment in Philadelphia . In addition, Kevin has shown work at local establishments such as Race Street Cafe, American Sardine Bar, and the annual “Heart Show” presented by Jinxed.
When he’s not making art, he’s teaching it. Kevin currently works as an art teacher the School District of Springfield Township where he has been employed for the past 13 years. Kevin enjoys sharing his passion for creation with his students through drawing, painting, and ceramics programs. The educational field has provided a fantastic learning environment for Kevin to explore new ideas and perfect his craft.
