Sonja Szlosek

Sonja Szlosek is a multidisciplinary artist and trained art therapist whose work spans painting, digital composition, installation, and conceptual visual storytelling. Her practice investigates the structures — bureaucratic, emotional, mythological — that frame human experience, using surreal humor and symbolic tension to reveal the fragile space between reason and imagination.

Born in Germany and raised in the Canary Islands, Szlosek currently works in South West Ireland. Her work draws on psychological insight, cultural hybridity, and a sharp sense of visual narrative. Across her diverse series — from DADA of Banking to her neon digital universes and the expanding intergalactic archive of Orion Vex — she employs acrylics, metal leaf, neon pigments, clay, and mixed media to construct multilayered symbolic worlds.

Her latest exhibition, Lingua Lux – Global Dance of Beauty, comprises 45 artworks across 22 languages and includes an official blessing from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. This series extends her practice into global cultural dialogue, exploring beauty, linguistic diversity, and the universal human search for connection.
