I am an artist based in Osaka. I studied arts at the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts Institute and Osaka University of the Arts. I draw inspiration from Ukiyo-E, Persian miniature and Ancient Egyptian art.
My artwork can be divided into three main thematic areas: “Running Figures”, “Scenes of Professional Activity”, “Surrounding City and Nature Scenery”
(1) “Running Figures”: multiple repetition of simple schematic running human figure representing personal evolution.
Figures run in the circle: inspiration→work→achievement→frustration→rethinking values→new ideas→new inspiration..
“Running Figures” are focused on monotone and rhythmic or chaotic move and can be seen from both compassionate and ironic perspectives.
(2) “Scenes of Professional Activity”
My main occupation is art, but by circumstances I had opportunity to get acquainted with other professions as well. Each professional environment has its own atmosphere, specific workday schedules, work processes and patterns that subordinate actions of each worker. At the same time, each employee has their own individuality and charisma.
