Sophia Moseley

Born in 1988 in Lichfield, near Birmingham.

I have graduated with a BA in Design from Goldsmiths College, University of London.

My inspiration is a collection of saved dialogue in the form of old postcards, old letters and a hoard of handwritten notes, scraps of paper and saved memorabilia, which I sometimes incorporate in to my work. Sometimes I take inspiration or ideas from them, other times I include them in my work, such as the short stories I write from the treasures I find; usually telling a story about the person who used to own the train ticket, or postcard, or scrap of map.

Inspired by, Cy Twombly, Dorothy Iannone, Dieter Roth, Johan Hybschmann, Ebon Heath, John Stezaker, Moritz Kung, Barbara Steveni, George Herms, Ulises Carrion.
