EDUCATION

Born in the 1950s the artist travelled extensively with his parents all over the world in his early years visiting museums and cultural sites. He obtained an honours degree in Social work and Psychology in the 1970s in Canada. He then proceeded to teach himself art by going to Europe, Asia , Africa, and North America and Mexico.While in these various locations he sketched and drew his environment He learned to draw and paint by following a street artist in Amsterdam and for a time became a street artist to finance his travels. At present the artist is working in the health care profession living part time in the Arctic with the Inuit peoples and in Calgary Alberta Canada. the Artist paints and sculpts while in the high Arctic

My art is is influenced by the multicultural environment I have been exposed to. I am influenced by Native North American art such as our Indians from the west coast, and the Inuit carvers I have been working with. I also have an Italian background and I am heavily influenced by European art of the last 100 years. much of my bright colours stem from Mexican and South American influence's. My work sometimes has a surreal and psychological undercurrent to It.I have numerous paintings and sculptures of...

My background and formal training is in Social Work and Psychology. I have no formal art education but have spent years in the study of painting and sculpture on my own. I have been the recipient of grants and awards from the Alberta Government and the Ontario Governments in Canada as well as having work published by the Federal Canadian Government. I have until recently been showing since 1987 with the Vorpal Gallery in New York and San Francisco. I have been affiliated and shown with the Harrisson Gallery and Gallery Moos in Canada and Calgary Alberta. I have works in the Alberta and Ontario Government collections as well as in corporate and international collections.I have been painting for about 30 years.,
