About Nancy Stainton

I have always been interested in art, since I was little. In college (CU Boulder, CO) I studied fine arts but got a degree in Math. I had a long career in software but kept doing art on the side. I was able to retire in April 2017 and devote most of my time to art. In addition, I have taught art to elementary students off and on over the years. My art career has consisted of entering many juried shows throughout the US. I have received several awards and honors for my paintings over the years.

I am involved in several art groups and the shows they are involved in. In Monterey, we have several shows per year. I also participate in Open Studios yearly.

Currently one of my paintings is in an exhibit with the Degas Pastel Society in Hammond, LA. I also have 6 paintings in a show in Pacific Grove, CA with the CCAA group.
