Hi I have painted for many years .Latterly focusing on abstract subject matter .I also paint portraits,wildlife and figures.Art has always been a form of communication for thousands of years .How humans beings represent the world around them and indeed themselves .Whether this is in a realistic or abstract way ,or as a medium for exploring the unconscious. While I enjoy creating representative works ,whether these be portraits,life drawings ,figures or wildlife ,I also enjoy the liberating effect of creating abstract works where movement,form and colour take precedence.For me the most important thing is not to convey my own idiosyncratic ideas or meanings ,but to allow the viewer to develop their own thoughts and emotions about my artworks .What they evoke or resonate within them on a personal level .For me that is paramount.Art for me is a bit of a zen thing.Its just me and the canvas.Everyday cares fade into the background and once I'm in the zone I feel free and liberated .Let's call it a form of therapy. Art can take you there ,just as music can do the same thing.

I have a BA(hons) in the arts

Over the years I have had many exhibitions both in London and Kent .My next exhibition will be at Bloom Space in Hereford in Oct 25.Following that I will be exhibiting at The Courtyard Hereford during March 26
