Katrina Marie Lahaie is an upstate New York based visual artist and writer whose work explores symbolic environments and mythic ecologies through painting and drawing. Her current project, Haevarun, is an evolving personal mythology and cosmology expressed in paintings and mixed media artworks that invite contemplation of interconnectedness, guardianship, belonging, transformation, and threshold encounters.
Approaching Haevarun as a wandering witness, Lahaie allows imagery—guardian presences, resonant biomes, seeds, offerings, and vibrational pathways—to emerge intuitively from spontaneous gestural flows, sensory-immersed painting sessions, fine-line matrix refinements, and drawn interpretive symbols.
Previously sustained through independent licensing, decorative artwork, and community arts facilitation, she now dedicates her practice to authentic visionary expression that bridges lived experience with universal resonance.
Influenced by folk symbolism, mythic storytelling, and symbolist traditions, her paintings offer contemplative spaces for reconnection with nature’s unseen systems and the imagination’s role in human experience.
Self-directed visionary practice and independent experimental study (drawing, painting, narrative worldbuilding) since 1995
