I'm an artist with a background in environmental science and passion for rivers, wetlands, fish and fish habitat.

There's a bit of an art Vs science battle for relevance inside myself that I'm diffusing by communicating the science thought the arts. For me it's a natural fit although the end result usually involves a lot a verbal expression to effectively draw the linkages that seem so clear inside my head.

While my paintings and other artwork have been well received it's my photography that has attracted the most engaging support from the wider community.

I've enjoyed the thrill of exhibiting my work and am also grateful for the recognition I've received at a national level as a three times finalist in the Australian Photography Awards.

I keep the camera of my drone pointing directly down as I search for lines, textures and colours that I find interesting. I mostly photograph the wetlands and estuaries of the NSW north coast.
