I used to be a nomad artist with equal passions for my art and nature conservation. I traveled the world and volunteered on conservation projects. For the past few years I have spent the summers as a whale naturalist on the West Coast of Canada and the winters helping with marine conservation in the Baja. Then Cancer hit and all that life changed. Now I live a very small constrained life with chronic diseases that have changed my art practice. I paint with large brushes with my non dominant hand and just for short periods of time. However, my creative practice is my saviour helping me to keep a positive view and to feel productive. I donate 20% of my art sales to cancer research.
