What inspires your art practice?
The biggest influence in Sue’s practice is the love for nature, people and a mix of personal exploration of experiences. Sue is inspired by the world around her with travel, culture and visual wonder that brings joy and satisfaction to her life.
What Materials do you use?
Sue has worked with china paints, clay, Hinuera stone sculpture, watercolor, pen and ink, oils and acrylics. Acrylic is my present ‘go to medium’ with bright colors going into pastels for next series.
Describe your artwork?
Sue is influenced greatly by artists such as Itzchak Tarkay, Peter Max for his work with color, earlier times Rita Angus and Don Binney as study resulting in a 99% pass rate for U.E.
