Sue Seif

I spent forty years as a medical illustrator, retiring five years ago. I had never done fine art at all, and it has been a revelation. For the first couple of years, everything I did looked like a medical illustration (i.e. a medical illustration of a flower or a medical illustration of a tree) but just in the past few months I've been able to stretch and start to become a painter. It's been wonderful!

BA in biology from Goucher College, MA in medical illustration from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Did not start fine art classes until just a few years ago, and have studied primarily with Paul DuSold and Giovanni Casadei in Philadelphia.
