Suzanna Watkins

Born in Los Angeles, California in 1996, Suzanna Watkins grew up climbing trees and splashing in the mud in the hills of Topanga. Her expressionistic paintings reflect her love of nature, and consist largely of colorful, abstract paintings of flowers and landscapes. Suzanna was an artist from early on, having her own booth at the Venice Artwalk at the age of nine. For her last two years of high school, Suzanna attended the Idyllwild Arts Academy, where she was able to experiment with nearly every medium of visual arts, and dive deep into painting. After graduating and a gap year as a ski lift instructor in Mammoth Lakes, CA, Suzanna attended SAIC for a semester. She then followed her passion for travel, and took up seasonal work in Maui and then Australia, surfing and creating art. Suzanna spent the past four years running a ceramics business in Colorado Springs, filling commissions of hand thrown mugs for a brewery, and other pottery wares. She recently relocated back to California, and transitioned back into painting as it allows her more artistic freedom. Her studio is in San Clemente.
