S. Van Schaick is an American Designer-Creative Director-and Artist-born in Albany, NY into an innovative, creative family, who has lived, was educated, and worked from D.C. to Maine. Innovation/Creativity/Risk-taking from R&D, music to IT runs in the family. Prior relatives sailed with Henry Hudson, built planes in the cellar, helped to design submarines, and helped to raise twelve children during the Great Depression.
Van Schaick's scenic design has been seen on major productions, seriagraphs- the 1980 Winter Olympic Games as 1 of 7 Official International Olympic artists, illustrations in national trade publications, interior designs in commercial, residential establishments, creative direction-in mass media campaigns, Fine Art in galleries, private collections, and exhibits-Backdrops and murals in big spaces.
