Svetlana Li

Svetlana is an artist, Doctor of Arts, art historian, and researcher of the semantic structures of art. Her practice exists at the intersection of painting, psychology, and the philosophical exploration of human experience. Born in Russia, she currently lives and works in Thailand.
Her artistic journey began as an intuitive search and gradually evolved into a conscious exploration of the inner space of the human being. Through painting, she engages with images as forms of consciousness, revealing their deeper and archetypal layers.
Working with oil paints, brushes, palette knives, and direct interaction with the material, Svetlana creates works that combine realism with impressionistic freedom. Since 2021, she has been working as an independent artist, creating over 100 paintings.
For her, art is not only a form of expression but also a way of knowing — a process through which a person can encounter themselves and move beyond habitual perception, touching deeper levels of meaning.
