Svetlana Orinko

Ukrainian born and educated, I immigrated to New Zealand in 1992. . Since that time I enjoyed amazing success and a growing reputation as one of the country’s top artists and tutor. I feels strongly that an artist must have good academic training, master art of drawing and understand form, composition and colour before he or she can express their own passion for their subject matter.
I also make an extra effort to remain constantly open to new possibilities and innovative ways and, if possible, not to remain at the same stage all the times.

At the age of 12 after passing an entrance examination I began a rigorous Classical Old Masters art education program in Russia's Ukraine , which would take me almost 10 years to complete.
