I am a contemporary artist based in the UK, working primarily in painting from my studio. My practice explores trauma, memory, identity and the psychological impact of war and displacement. I use distorted human figures, expressive forms, layered textures and symbolic imagery to explore visible and invisible wounds and experiences that are often difficult to express through words. Broken Persian tiles are a recurring element in my work, symbolising fragmented memory, wounded identity and the lasting impact of trauma. Their colours and traditional patterns evoke cultural memory, home and belonging, while their fractured forms reflect disruption, loss and resilience. Persian symbols and historical references appear throughout my work, connecting personal and collective experiences with cultural memory.
