Troels Andersen

Figurative expressionism, sensations exploded in modern and fashioned contrasts with powerful sensitiveness in every stroke. The work of the young Danish artist is highly inspired by his own life; from ex-boyfriends, pumping beats of the dance floor, flirts, friends, living in the city and everyday emotions like fear, lust and desire. It’s trembling poetry created on a hungry canvas, anxiety splashed in chromaticity like a never completed symphony with an intense cry for more.

It’s an exposed nerve that never heals, a life never fully lived and a heart never satisfied. Feelings we all can relate to but are hard to express in words. Fortunately Troels Andersen skipped the words for temperamental colours matched with an energetic speed and alluring themes.
