Martins Baiden

Martins Baiden is a Ghanaian visual artist, specializing in painting and Papier-mâché (making art pieces with pounded paper) whose work delves into the rich cultural tapestry of African masquerades (abstract) and exploring other forms as well. As a very determined visual art student, after secondary school Baiden developed his passion and skills for art because that is mostly what he was good at, prior to that in his early years as a child, he was not as good as even a beginner but Baiden became the best version of himself through art from making abstract pieces and now transitioned into making art pieces from mashed paper advocating that everyone can be an artist or can actually create not for perfection but as a means of connection and therapy. He offers a fresh perspective on their symbolic and historical significance. Drawing inspiration from the deep-rooted heritage of African communities and individual personal experiences. Baiden's art serves as a bridge between past and present, connecting viewers to the timeless beauty and essence of African culture.
