Teresa Henry

Teresa Henry is a contemporary artist based in southern Spain, working in watercolour and acrylic. Her paintings begin with noticing — something in the world around her, or something less tangible that she feels or senses. That observation produces a feeling, and she uses the behaviour of paint to give that feeling form.

Her practice moves between the recognisable and the abstract, exploring colour, pigment, water, transparency and movement. Increasingly, she is translating the fluidity and expressive qualities of watercolour into larger acrylic paintings.
