Thom Pierce

Born in Jersey, Channel Islands; I am a British artist, currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I work predominantly in a photographic medium, in which I have built a substantial body of work that has been exhibited in major international galleries and festivals.

My work explores the line between documentary and traditional portraiture to create carefully crafted, dramatic photographic portraits.

Self-taught as a photographer, I studied music and theatre at Plymouth University.
